Hosting and server log filesThis website is hosted on a server of Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany. When you access the site, the server automatically records data that your browser transmits: IP address, date and time of the request, the page accessed, referrer URL, browser and operating system. This data is required for the technically secure delivery of the website and is not merged with other data sources. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in a secure and stable presentation (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).

Contact formIf you use the contact form, the data you enter — your name, your email address and your message — is processed in order to answer your enquiry. Sending is only possible after you have actively agreed via the checkbox. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time with effect for the future.

Transmission to Formspree (USA)The contact form is technically processed by Formspree, Inc., based in the USA. The data you enter is transmitted to Formspree and forwarded from there to my email address. This constitutes a transfer to a third country outside the European Union, where a comparable level of data protection cannot be guaranteed in every respect (Art. 44 et seq. GDPR). By ticking the checkbox you also consent to this transfer. If you would prefer to avoid it, please contact me directly by email.

Storage periodThe data from the contact form remains with me until you ask me to delete it, withdraw your consent, or the purpose for storage no longer applies — for example once your enquiry has been fully processed. Server log files are automatically deleted after a short period.

SSL/TLS encryptionThis site uses SSL/TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the address line of your browser changing from http:// to https:// and by the lock symbol. When encryption is active, the data you transmit cannot be read by third parties.

No cookies, no trackingThis website does not set any cookies, does not use local storage and does not use any analytics or tracking services. All fonts are delivered from my own server, so no connection to external font providers is established. For this reason no cookie banner is required.

Links to external sitesThis website contains links to external sites such as GitHub and LinkedIn as well as to my own project subdomains. These are plain text links — no content is embedded, so no data is transmitted to these providers when the page loads. Data is only transmitted once you actively click a link. From that point on, the privacy policy of the respective provider applies.

Your rights You have the right at any time to obtain information free of charge about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients, and the purpose of the processing (Art. 15 GDPR). You also have the right to rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing (Art. 21). Consent you have given can be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future.

If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — for example the Independent Data Protection Centre of Saarland.
