Who's Emil?

About me

Hi, I’m Emil – a Fullstack Developer based in Germany. I started out in the frontend, and I still enjoy that side of the craft: I work confidently with modern frontend technologies and can talk to designers and frontend teams as an equal. Over time, though, I noticed where my curiosity really pulls me – behind the interface.

Backend is where my heart is. Designing an API that stays clean as it grows, modelling data so that hard questions turn into simple queries, getting a stack to run reliably in production – those are the puzzles I want to spend my days on. I built my own projects with Django and PostgreSQL, containerised them with Docker and put them live on my own server.
